Recipe – Overnight Oats

1/2 cup steel cut or rolled oatmeal
1 teaspoon cacao powder
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon goji berries or blueberries
3 teaspoons chia seeds
5 shakes of cinnamon
1.5 cups of water

Dump it in a bowl, stir, cover, and pop it in the fridge. Tomorrow, eat it & prep another bowl for the next day. Eat one, prep one. Want it warmed up? Nuke it for a few minutes on medium. I prep the next day’s bowl while the microwave runs. I mostly do overnight oats because it gives the chia seeds time to soak. Chia seeds really soak up water, so it’s best to either grind them or soak them overnight to give ’em time to suck up water. They’re incredibly good for you, and they’re fantastic in oatmeal.
I use Weck “744” Tulip jars (1/2 L). They’re the perfect size for a bowl of overnight oats, and the shape is basically a bowl rounded up. They’re great.
